Zusammenfassung: | The relation of paleoclimatic factors to the happenings at Sodom and Gomorrah and the other Cities of the Plain, which are now thought to be covered by the Dead Sea, was examined. Dating the Sodom event to approximately the 23rd and 21st centuries BC supports the idea that a major climatic change that occurred between the Early and Middle Bronze Ages is responsible for the Sodom story, along with the stories of the collapse of the Ancient Kingdom of Egypt. |
