Zusammenfassung:A Ti-Al-Nb alloy was melted in the form of a 30kg ingot by the consumable vacuum arc melting process and then evaluated. Since the alloy contains both beta and alpha, the low yield stress and the inflection in the stress-strain curve may be due to combined operation of the two mechanisms: stress-induced martensitic transformation and movement of martensitic interfaces.
