Conductive polymer coatings for anodes in aqueous electrowinning

Although the use of lead alloy anodes in aqueous electrowinning operations is an accepted practice in industry, the problems they represent have resulted in research that attempts to either modify their physical makeup or apply surface treatments. In some instances producers have endeavored to replace them with insoluble anodes made from other materials.
