Zusammenfassung: | Statistics on strikes are a long-standing indicator that has suffered from a loss of political and trade union interest. A census of strikes in Seine-Saint-Denis during the 1990s confirms, however, the limits of these official statistics, the flaws of which tend to be aggravated during periods of intense social mobilization. Without invalidating the general observation of a decrease in the number of strikes, correctives of these statistics allow us to qualify the widespread idea that collective action has disappeared from companies.
