BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF (5R, 6S, 8R)-6-α-HYDROXYETHYL-2- ACETOXYMETHYL-2-PENEM-3-CARBOXYLATE

The authors describe the physicochemical properties and the biological activity of 6- alpha -hydroxyethyl penems which possess, at one and the same time the natural side chain of thienamycin and the cephalosporin functionality.
