A temperature-conditional protoplast of Chlamydomonas reinhardi

A mutant of the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardi has been isolated which forms a cell wall at 25 °C but not at 35 °C. This conditional protoplast might be of interest in all studies where the temporary presence or absence of the cell wall is desired.
