Zusammenfassung:Quantitative morphometry was used to characterize the different grades of human bladder transitional cell carcinoma. When histograms were constructed using data obtained, lower grade tumors were easily differentiated from tumors with higher grade. There is the further suggestion that low-grade tumors which progress to an aggressive stage demonstrate the pattern of high-grade malignancy early in their development, thus identifying which tumors may ultimately require radical surgery.
