Zusammenfassung: | We describe a near term pregnant woman whose ultrasound examination revealed oligohydramnios and distorted fetal body and dilated fetal ureters, which was confirmed after birth to be prune belly syndrome. The newborn underwent an abdominal sonogram on the second day of life. Neither kidney could be identified definitely. Subsequently, at autopsy, small dysplastic kidneys were found, consistent with a lethal variant of prune belly syndrome. |
