Zusammenfassung: | The lipid matrix of both acetylcholine receptor (AcChR)-rich and AcChR-poor membranes from Torpedo californica electroplax has been chemically characterized. AcChR-rich membranes contained higher levels of free cholesterol and slightly higher proportions of polyunsaturated ethanolamine phosphoglycerides. Major fatty acid components in the total lipid extracts from either membrane fraction were 24% palmitic, 20% docosahexaenoic, and 20% oleic acids. |
