Zusammenfassung:	Rabbit antiserum to progesterone was injected i.v. 10 minutes before systematic induction of deciduoma with pyrathiazine. The activity of ornithine decarboxylase 4 hours later was used as a measure of onset of the growth and differentiation of decidual tissue. The antiserum caused complete blockage of the enzyme induction. This implies that progesterone is an agonist in the induction of decidualization.
