Zusammenfassung:Regression equations and correlations were used to evaluate the in vitro and in vivo relationship of marginal breakdown of amalgam alloys. Interpretation of the results indicates that gamma-2 and non-gamma-2 alloys comprise two distinct groups. Equations based upon in vitro data predicting marginal breakdown for gamma-2 alloys should not be used for non-gamma-2 alloys.
