Zusammenfassung: | Carcinoma of the cervix occurs in approximately 1 of 1240 pregnancies. Recent modes of management include colposcopically directed biopsy for the investigation of abnormal cytology and radical surgery for the treatment of early stage disease. The present report reviews the diagnosis and treatment of carcinoma in situ and invasive carcinoma during the past 20 years and addresses 2 controversial issues, the effect of pregnancy and of vaginal delivery on the prognosis of cervical cancer. |
