Zusammenfassung: | Andover.-On Tuesday, the 19th ult., the second Annual Festival of the choirs in the Andover Choral Union was held in St. Mary's Church. The number of vocalists was about 200, all of whom had been under the careful training of Mr. J. W. Chuter, the organist of Andover, for the past three months. The service was intoned by the vicar of Andover. Dr. Wesley's Chant Service was very well rendered, and the Anthem, "Teach me, O Lord" (Attwood), was a marked feature in the music. |
