Zusammenfassung: | Three injectable anaesthetic agents, thiopentone, ketamine and CT 1341, were administered intravenously to cats and subsequent changes in arterial blood gas tensions, blood pressure and heart rate were measured. Thiopentone produced mild hypotension between five and 10 minutes after injection; ketamine administration was followed by prolonged hypertension and transient hypoventilation, and CT 1341 induced profound and sustained hypotension, with clinical manifestations consistent with histamine release. |
