Zusammenfassung:Patients with enteric fever confirmed by isolation of Salmonella species from blood culture, were treated with the combination of trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole (co-trimoxazole). All 133 patients responded well to treatment. The mean defervescence was 2.74 days. No serious side effects were noticed and no relapses occurred in the patients during the period of follow up.
