Zusammenfassung:	All 100 patients in a protocol of therapy for anaplastic gliomas were studied with regard to occurrence of seizures preoperatively and postoperatively. Patients without a history of seizures preoperatively had a similar incidence of seizures postoperatively, whether anticonvulsant medications were prescribed prophylactically or not.
