Zusammenfassung:Virological and serological surveys were carried out on children involved in an epidemic of Coxsackie A virus infection in Iwamizawa City, Hokkaido, in 1972, suffered from exanthema, herpangina, upper respiratory infection, and aphthous stomatitis. Most of them showed combined symptoms. Some of them were attacked repeatedly by the virus of the same type. Coxsackie A2 (3.5%), A5 (37.7%), and A10 (24.6%) viruses were isolated from these children. About a half of them exhibited a significant rise in titer of neutralizing antibody against one of these viruses.
