Zusammenfassung: | Rabbit transferrin was modified by the introduction of methionine sulfone hydrazide into either its sialic acid residues or into both its sialic acid and galactosyl residues. Rabbits immunized with the modified transferrin produced antibodies which reacted with the native antigen both in radioimmunoassay and gel diffusion. Antibodies eluted from a transferrin-Sepharose column gave, in immunoelectrophoresis, a precipitin band specific for IgG. |
