Diagnosis through imaging: generation, detection, and classification

Principles of diagnostic imaging are presented using a model that has sustantive segments and transforming steps. These are shown to form three conversion stages: generation, detection, and classification. Common attributes of diagnosis through imaging are elucidated and components are delineated as entities that can be dealt with separately or assessed as part of the whole process.
