Zusammenfassung:A case of “acquired constriction ring” or “toe-tourniquet” syndrome is presented to increase awareness of the condition in the orthopaedic community. If treated promptly, this condition has a very good prognosis and, if the diagnosis is missed, may lead to amputation. We also discuss the potential causes and presentation of this condition, along with the need for urgent surgical exploration if there are doubts over tissue viability.
