Zusammenfassung:Ten substituted thiobarbiturates have been prepared in order to evaluate their anticonvulsant activity in vivo and MAO inhibitory activity in vitro. All the compounds have been found good MAO and convulsion inhibitors. 5-(4-N,N-dimethylaminobenzylidene)-1-phenyl-3-(2'-pyridinobutan-4'-yl)thiobarbi turic acid has been found to be best in both these activities.
