Spontaneous rupture of the spleen as the presenting feature of the blastoid variant of mantle cell lymphoma

Summary Spontaneous splenic rupture is rare, and particularly so as the initial presentation of a lymphoproliferative disorder. Although rare cases of splenic rupture have been reported in mantle cell lymphoma there has not been a report of the blastoid variant presenting in this manner. We report such a case in a 64‐year‐old man.
