Cerebrospinal fluid glutamine level in the differential diagnosis of a “bloody Tap” in newborn infants

Cerebrospinal fluid glutamine concentrations were determined in preterm and full-term newborn infants, and were found to be elevated in cases with intracranial hemorrhage when compared to those who had had a traumatic lumbar puncture.
