Zusammenfassung:	This article presents results obtained when some modern estimation and control techniques are applied to a simulated fermentation process. The control structure uses a particular observer of the substrate concentration and assumes the biomass concentration is measurable. The overall structure has been tested for both external and parametric disturbances, with very good results.
