Zusammenfassung:The first observation of bright photoluminescence (PL) corresponding to the inner tubes of double‐walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) prepared by thermal treatment of fullerene‐encapsulated nanotubes at temperatures of 1700–2000°C is reported (see image). The results suggest that DWNTs could replace single‐walled NTs in biomarker and optoelectronics applications due to their strong and stable luminescence properties.
