Zusammenfassung:Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are promising nanocarriers for therapeutics due to their facile synthesis, ease of functionalization, biocompatibility, and inherent non-toxicity. The unique chemical and physical properties of AuNP monolayers provide versatility in delivery method and tunability of surface properties. Here, we discuss several strategies to utilize the properties of AuNPs for drug delivery.
