| Zusammenfassung: | A case of limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis with severe diffuse subcutaneous calcification is presented. The patient experienced multiple complications of calcinosis from this condition and was completely resistant to all treatment modalities. A detailed analysis of the calcific crystals revealed hydroxyapatite and octacalcium phosphate. Possible treatment strategies for calcinosis in scleroderma are reviewed in the context of this case. |
