Zusammenfassung: | The present article briefs the resident psychiatric treatment with children. Technical procedure in psychotherapy with children has progressed during the past twenty-five years in the framework of a developing understanding of the nature and structure of the child's behavioral and emotional difficulties. Residence introduces unique features into the procedure of making a treatment relationship available for a child. It is the purpose of this paper to describe briefly our resident program and to make available our experience. This paper is not focused on to consider the nature or technique of psychiatric treatment with children. However, it is important at this point to consider some aspects of a treatment relationship. The ending of treatment in a resident center is more challenging than in the child guidance clinic, where the child has been in his home throughout his changing relationship with his parents.
