Zusammenfassung:Paragangliomas are neuroendocrine tumors derived from chromaffin cells of the extraadrenal sympathetic system; mediastinal paragangliomas are rare. We illustrate and describe the imaging findings in two cases of mediastinal paraganglioma, one nonfunctional aorticopulmonary paraganglioma and one locally aggressive functional aorticosympathetic paraganglioma first observed as a mediastinal mass on chest plain-film radiographs.
