Zusammenfassung:	The objective of this national study was to examine overall psychotropic drug use patterns among elderly nursing home residents. According to the 2004 NNHS, an estimated .83 million (CI=.82-.85) elderly nursing home residents received at least one psychotropic medication, for an overall prevalence of 63.2% (CI=62.2%-64.2%).
