Zusammenfassung: | High intake of vitamin A can lead to biochemical and clinical consequences of varying degrees, for example, lower tissue and blood levels of vitamin E. We investigated possibilities for preventing such undesirable effects of vitamin A by a suitably adapted vitamin E supply with young chicks. Dietary vitamin E dosages were chosen according to the composition of Rovigon registered capsules, that is, 70 mg vitamin E (all-rac- alpha -toxopheryl acetate) per 30,000 IU vitamin A. |
