Shape-Memory Polymers as Drug Carriers—A Multifunctional System
Establishing parenteral drug carriers which exhibit multifunctionality has been an aim of research on controlled drug release from biodegradable polymers from its very beginning. The use of shape-memory polymers as drug carrier matrices to facilitate biofunctional implants is examined.
