Zusammenfassung:The epidemiology of Mycobacterium bovis and its treatment regimen are considered. Speciation is important in the choice of an effective chemotherapeutic regimen; the standard short-course (6-month) chemotherapeutic regimen for treating tuberculosis caused by drug-susceptible M. tuberculosis includes isoniazid (INH), rifampin, ethambutol, and PZA for the rst 2 months and INH and rifampin for the subsequent 4 months.
