Zusammenfassung: | Three types of forceps and a commercially available device, the Tick Solution, were used to remove adult brown dog ticks, Rhipicephalus sanguineus (Latreille), from dogs. The Tick Solution proved least effective at removing ticks, requiring significantly more removal attempts compared with forcep-removal methods. Medium-tipped angled forceps provided the best overall performance. Other advantages and disadvantages of the devices are discussed |
