Zusammenfassung:The estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and intratumoral aromatase content of 127 breast carcinomas were determined. Patients whose tumor contained either estrogen or progesterone receptors had a longer disease‐free interval, but no difference in survival was observed. Measurable aromatase activity was detected in 78 of 113 (69%) tumors. There was no relationship between aromatase activity and disease‐free interval or survival. Cancer 1992; 70:1951‐1955.
