The gene for receptor-linked protein-tyrosine-phosphatase (PTPA) is assigned to human chromosome 20p12-pter by in situ hybridization (ISH and FISH)

Studies with somatic cell hybrid panels and Southern analysis of genomic DNA from inbred strains of mice suggested that the PTPA gene is located on chromosome 20pter-q12, and Ptpa on mouse chromosome 2 between the loci for Il-1a and agouti . To determine its map position on human chromosome 20, we p...

Zusammenfassung:Studies with somatic cell hybrid panels and Southern analysis of genomic DNA from inbred strains of mice suggested that the PTPA gene is located on chromosome 20pter-q12, and Ptpa on mouse chromosome 2 between the loci for Il-1a and agouti . To determine its map position on human chromosome 20, we performed radioactive (ISH) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and mapped the locus for PTPA to segment p12-pter on chromosome 20.
