Heart rate recovery after exercise as a predictor of mortality among survivors of acute myocardial infarction

This study shows that impaired heart rate recovery after a routine predischarge exercise test predicts mortality among survivors of an AMI when cardiac medication is optimized according to contemporary guidelines.
