Zusammenfassung:Health insurers and managed care organizations are changing their coverage and reimbursement strategies, in large part because of cost pressures and consumer demand, with greater attention being paid to evidence-based medicine. Dietetics professionals as well as other health professionals can benefit from understanding these shifts within the current organizational structure of the US healthcare system. With this knowledge, they can better formulate their own strategic responses to coverage in the evolving managed healthcare environment.
