Delta-Positive T-Cell Lymphoma That Produces Interferon Gamma

To the Editor: The clinicopathologic features of the patient described by Burg et al. (Oct. 10 issue) 1 who had a subcutaneous T-cell lymphoma simulating panniculitis are similar to those of a series of eight patients we recently described. 2 A notable feature of subcutaneous T-cell lymphoma is its association with a hemophagocytic syndrome, which was the case in six of the patients we described. 2 Although this complication was not described in the patient of Burg et al., 1 the clinical findings of fever and leukopenia suggest this possibility.
