Zusammenfassung:	A back-to-basics movement is emerging among psychologists theorizing about personality structure and traits. Research on manipulations and traits, and when each becomes important, has involved such factors as context, choice, instructions, duration and response of a particular event that a person encounters. Researchers have developed paradigms for assessing traits, and the five-factor model is discussed in detail. Recent research on structure and assessment of personality is compared with theories of the past.
