Zusammenfassung: | Recent research in the treatment of anxiety disorders, such as agoraphobia, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive behavior, indicate that a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment is effective. Therapists must help anxious patients confront fears and help them to believe that they will have control of the feared situation. Relaxation and biofeedback techniques are also helpful. |
