Effect of abciximab on myocardial salvage in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing primary angioplasty

In acute myocardial infarction (AMI), timely reperfusion is a prerequisite to limit the extent of infarct size. Lee et al tested the hypothesis that abciximab, given at the time of primary angioplasty for AMI, may produce a greater degree of myocardial salvage.
