Zusammenfassung:The pharmaceutical industry is developing more than a dozen drugs targeting "female sexual dysfunction" (FSD), and the FDA drafted guidelines for FSD drug trials that take a mechanical view of sexuality. The "medicalization" of women's sexuality is the wrong approach; what is needed is multidisciplinary research, comprehensive sex education, and accessible health services.
