Zusammenfassung:	We present a case of isolated avulsion fracture at the plantar lateral base of the first metatarsal without injuries of the tarsometatarsal joint. Few case reports can be found in the literature and it has been reported only as a part of the tarsometatarsal joint injuries. The basis for the diagnosis is discussed, as well as the nature of acute rupture of the peroneus longus tendon.
