Zusammenfassung:In 8 patients with normal coronary arteries, we assessed the effects of atrial fibrillation and atrial tachycardia on thye coronary flow variables using a 0.014-inch intracoronary Doppler flowire and a fast-Fourier transform of the velocity signal. The induction of atrial fibrillation caused a smaller increase in coronary flow than did atrial tachycardia and a greater reduction in coronary flow reserve, although the increase in myocardial oxygen demand was similar.
