Zusammenfassung: | OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study was to assess the ability of whole-body turbo short tau inversion recovery (STIR) MR imaging to detect metastases in children with small cell tumors and to compare its performance with that of conventional imaging. CONCLUSION. Early data suggest that whole-body turbo STIR MR imaging is as reliable as other conventional imaging studies for staging newly diagnosed small cell tumors in pediatric patients. |
