Zusammenfassung:The reversible two‐electron reduction of an acetonitrile ligand to the corresponding imine has been demonstrated for the first time with the title compound. Electrochemical reduction generates the OsIII–imino product [Eq. (a)], which can be isolated as the PF6− salt and used in further reactions for the reduction of organic carbonyl compounds.
