Zusammenfassung:Double-chambered right ventricle, a rare form of congenital heart disease frequently misdiagnosed in adult patients, can be best assessed by a combinaton of echocardiography and right heart catheterization, and these studies should be interpreted by personnel with experience in cogneital heart disease to increase the likelihood of a correct diagnosis. Patients with double-chambered right ventricle can be successfully treated surgically with significant relief of right ventricular outflow tract obstruction, improvement in their clinical condition, and excellent long-term results.
