Recoverable Catalysts and Reagents Using Recyclable Polystyrene-Based Supports

Catalysts and reagents immobilized upon a range of insoluble supports have been utilized and reported since the late 1960s. The advantages offered are a direct consequence of the polymer matrix. The main benefits are due to the ease of physical separation of the polymer and its bound component from the reaction mixture, the ease of recycling, and the simplification of handling a range of toxic or odorous materials.
