Zusammenfassung: | Salbutamol-induced drinking was determined in rats after 4 days of twice daily treatment with the conventional and putative antidepressants desipramine, clenbuterol or salbutamol. Drinking was also determined 21 h after a single dose of the abovementioned drugs. Both chronic and acute administration of the drugs resulted in a significant reduction in the salbutamol-induced fluid intake. The results suggest that these drugs decrease

2-adrenoceptor activity, but that repeated administration is not a prerequisite for the effect. |
